ACLASA MethodologyA clear method for comparing work fairly

This page explains the method in the way a client needs to hear it: what work is being compared, why the comparison is fair, how the ACLASA band is assigned and how the country rule is added afterwards.

Canonical classification rule: TalentAccess.pro and ACLASA.pro use one shared method. The same role profile must resolve to the same ACLASA factor logic, score path and band across the portfolio; local country rules add obligations, not a second classification.

The order matters

Work evidence first. Band next. Country rule after that.

01Describe what the role actually does.
02Compare it through neutral factors.
03Use the right country reporting rule.

From a job description to a decision people can review

ACLASA avoids a black-box feel by showing the chain of evidence. The role is described, scored, grouped and then connected to the country requirement.

1

Role evidence

Use real job content: skills, responsibility, effort, working conditions, authority and scope. Titles help navigation, but they must not decide the band alone.

2

Factor comparison

Compare work through gender-neutral factors and subfactors. The point is not to make the method mysterious; the point is to make it reviewable.

3

ACLASA band

The band groups work of comparable value. Seniority only counts when there is evidence of broader responsibility, complexity or decision power.

4

Country overlay

Slovakia, Italy, Lithuania, Finland and every other country can add local rules without changing the core method.

Shared TalentAccess catalog

3,173 role profiles make the method tangible

The downloadable catalog turns the method into concrete roles. It gives clients a practical bridge between TalentAccess product language and ACLASA pay-transparency work.

What must not decide the result

No shortcuts dressed up as methodology

The final band must not be set by title alone, current salary, negotiation history, years of service alone or an ISCO code alone. A manager label also needs evidence: decision authority, scope, accountability and real leadership responsibility.

Job evidence → Factor score → ACLASA band → ISCO or local code → Country rule

AI can help draft and check later, but sensitive work and pay decisions need human review and an audit trail.

The same role must not receive two ACLASA answers

ACLASA can localise language, legal duties and reporting outputs by country. It must not create competing role classifications for the same work profile. If the evidence is the same, the factor logic and ACLASA band stay the same.

Same work

Same factor logic

A role profile from the TalentAccess catalog uses the same ACLASA factors and subfactors when it appears on ACLASA.pro.

Same score

Same band path

The score and band are not re-invented by page, language or country. Exceptions need documented evidence and version control.

Local law

Overlay, not override

Slovakia, US, Italy or Finland can change what must be reported, but not the core value classification of the same role.

Audit

One source of truth

The catalog, calculator, tracker and TalentAccess product should point to the same methodology message.

The same method supports small firms and global employers

A small employer can use the public explanation and files. A global employer can add country packs, local language versions, refreshed sources and exportable evidence from the same base.

Small firm

Understand the duty

Plain steps, downloadable files and a map that shows which country rule matters.

HR and reward

Prepare the evidence

Role groups, bands, criteria, exceptions and pay-gap explanations stay connected.

Legal

Check the local rule

The tracker and country templates show status, sources, deadlines and actions.

Group HQ

Compare countries

English exports let central teams compare local versions without losing local meaning.
